This would've been a better picture withOUT the cider bottle right there in the middle. Sheesh.
Oh well.
Jim and I went out for drinks at Temple Billiards for a little birthday celebrating. Thirty-freakin'-five years old, people.
For a gift, Jim is treating me to a spa treatment; a facial and also a pedicure! Suh-weeeeet.

Newark, NJ
This was the view from our hotel window in Newark, NJ the last night of our trip. It poured rain the first night we arrived, and also the last night before we departed. (We mostly only got drizzle in New York City.)
The traffic was so insane at rush hour, a cop finally had to direct traffic in the intersection down below our window. And in this picture... the traffic isn't even BAD yet!
If I lived there I would never own a car. People are insane on the streets.

Times Square, NYC, 2005
Freakin' AMAZING. :) When Jim and I walked upstairs from the subway and saw all this... we both just said (at the exact same time): "Wowwwwww!"
The Red Carpet
Here's the red carpet we got to make our entrance on. That is Jim's agent Ann Rittenberg on the left there... and we had to stop for a minute while Jim got his picture taken by the photographer(s) in the background.
One of the more surreal moments in my life!

Ground Zero
This is where 9/11 happened. I think this was more of an information center rather than a memorial. It was right in front and behind those fences is where the towers were. It's basically just a big hole right now. It was hard to actually get pictures of, being ground level and all.
Surrounding buildings
It was interesting to see the damage done to the surrounding buildings. Kinda gives you a sense of what occurred...
Jim's looking towards WTC site...
I turned around to snap a picture of the buildings near the World Trade Center and accidentally caught Jim's reaction to the whole experience. I didn't even realize it till I looked at all the pictures I had taken later that night. It was pretty overwhelming to him.

The Chelsea Inn
This was our entire room at the Chelsea Inn in New York City. All this for $205 a night! And if you think it looks like a bed in a closet... you should see the bathroom.
We were so clausterphobic by the time we left.

More dressed up than our wedding!
I'll be putting up more pictures from our trip to NYC and the Quill Awards probably tomorrow... but I at least wanted to get something up for now. :)
I'm sorry to say we didn't get a full stand-up picture of us side by side... but you get the idea from this picture of how we looked.
And if I don't say so myself... we looked HOT! (For us, at least.)
Hee hee.
Oh, and this was at a trendy NYC bar around midnight after the awards with Jim's agent, Ann Rittenberg (the picture taker). See those martinis? Twelve bucks each, baby!

The Nettleton
In a week and a half... we're MOVIN' ON UP. This is the Nettleton in downtown Seattle. Soon to be our new pad. :)
More pics to come!
(Behind those trees there, behind the fence... is our pool. And soon-to-be 15 person hottub.)
EL YAY!!!

The 13th Floor!
The window above the one Jim's finger is touching will be our LIVING ROOM. Thirteenth floor, baby! Second from the top. Jim's freaking out (he hates heights)... but the view is to die for! (Heh)
The Garage Sale!
We finally did it! After weeks of procrastinating... we finally got good weather and went ahead with the garage sale. This is the afternoon of Day One... and most of the good stuff was sold early that morning. We never did sell the big green couch.
Anyone need a cheap used couch? I think at this point we'll PAY YOU to take it. :)

Hella brekkie...
My husband makes some pretty kick ass breakfasts around here.
And the veggie even cooked me up some SAUSAGES!
Now THAT, folks... is love.

Meterosexual Jim
At the garage sale, Jim tried on one my turtlenecks that were for sale... and suddenly turned gay.
