This was our trip to Vancouver, BC for our first anniversary. Okay, so the weather was just like Seattle... but we both fell in love with the city! To me it looks like "the city of glass". Vancouver was smart enough to build up, instead of out. (God help them if they have an earthquake, though.) The entire downtown and surrounding areas are high-rise apartments, condos, office buildings, and hotels. It's WAY bigger than Seattle.
